Reindeer/Caribou Antlers for VRChat

A FREE set of stylized reindeer/caribou antlers for VRChat avatars.

Prerequisites & General Info

I recommend having at least enough Unity knowledge/experience to be comfortably able to upload your own avatars without much help before purchasing this asset.

These antlers have just shy of 4k triangles and use one material slot with 1040x1040 px texture maps. The Unity package was made in version 2022.3.6f1. The Substance Painter file was created in version 9.1.1.

Basic Setup Instructions

1. Before installing any packages or assets to an existing Unity project, always create a backup of it first. Accidents happen, from unintentional deletions to incompatible versions, and when things break they are often irreversible in Unity. VRC's Creator Companion app gives you a handy dandy little button to do this very easily before opening the project.
2. Download the and import it by dragging and dropping the package file from your file explorer to the assets window. This should create a folder named "Reindeer Antlers" which will have two subfolders with FBX and material files along with a prefab.
3. Find your avatar's Head bone under the Armature in the hierarchy window. Drag and drop the prefab file directly underneath it. You will very likely have to adjust the position of the antlers and quite possibly the size. There are two blend shapes that adjust the width of the antler bases to help you fit them neatly onto your avatar.

Terms & Conditions

You may freely use this asset for any personal projects as you see fit and may modify it to your liking. You may wear it on your avatar in monetized video and livestream as well as any other 3D social platform if you are ambitious enough to import it yourself. Public avatars are allowed and encouraged!
